Inspiration for Tropical Breeze:

The residential pool service industry in Seminole County is fragmented with hundreds of small pool companies. This fragmentation has resulted in inconsistent and often unprofessional service.  Tropical Breeze was founded with the goal of building a professional service organization.  We are experienced service professionals who chose the pool industry and now have hundreds of satisfied customers.

Tropical Breeze Pools was started in 2006 by a former corporate executive who took some of the best practices of large companies and married them with the personal touch of a small company. Tropical Breeze is big enough to meet any of your swimming pool needs, but is small enough that the owner is a phone call away.

Safety

  • Communication – Customers are notified of all activities conducted each visit via door hangers. Customers NEED to know what was put in their pool and if there is a waiting time to swim.
  • Training – Pool technicians undergo months of training and are closely supervised. On average, technicians at Tropical Breeze have more than 5 years experience in the swimming pool industry.
  • Insurance – All technicians are covered by a $2 million dollar general liability and worker’s compensation insurance. While we hope we do not need our insurance, this sets us apart from the competition. General liability insurance is NOT REQUIRED for pool operators in Florida. And owner/operated pool companies can opt out of worker’s compensation insurance for the owners. If an unforeseen accident happens that hurts someone or causes damages to your property, we have insurance to help resolve the issue.

Quality

  • Quality Control – Our quality control system involves a methodical approach to ensuring quality. Monthly, we randomly inspect a number of pools for each technician. Additionally, one of our managers routinely rides with each technician. Technicians receive bonuses for passing their quality-control tests.
  • Quality Employees – We recognize that our employees are our company. Our hiring process involves a series of interviews and multiple reference checks. Once on board, each employee undergoes initial training and ongoing training throughout his time at Tropical Breeze. We pay more than the competition and offer benefits, which allows us to be selective in our hiring.
  • Consistency – Customers have an assigned day and technician for each visit. Occasionally, the day or technician may change for a service visit. However, we have a knowledge database with an extensive amount of information about our customers’ pools. This information ensures each technician who services your pool has a complete picture of your pool’s history of chemical readings, chemical usage and equipment.
  • Team Size – We are one of the largest pool companies in Central Florida, which provides us the depth and knowledge to ensure we always have team members to meet your needs. However, the owner is directly involved in all daily activities.
  • Daily Meetings – We meet with our technicians every morning and review the current day’s assignments and the prior day’s work.

Professionalism

  • Communication – We customize our communication based on customer preference. All customers have the option to receive an email or text message the day before each service visit. Additionally, technicians will knock on your door to announce their arrival, if you wish. These are customized to your preferences.
  • Appearance – All technicians wear company-issued Tropical Breeze uniforms and name badges.
  • Customer Service – Customer concerns are addressed every day of the week.
  • Payment – All major credit cards are accepted, and online bill pay is available via our web site.
  • Employees – All of our technicians are employees with benefits, which leads to more stability and company commitment. Many other pool companies utilize contractors.
